The irony being, that when the time comes for our cat children to stand up for themselves and save the fort from the infurstation of mischievous mice, they tend to look on confused. First at the mouse moving like a madman and then at us to try and understand whether we intend for them to actually go after the mouse, and if so how and why we plan to do that.

Add to that the fact that cats only meow because they have biologically evolved to understand that meowing like a kitten melts our hearts and forces our hand, and you have quite the clawminal concoction on your hands.
